Karin Hunter

Karin Hunter has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. Karin began their career as a Lecturer in Mathematics at the University of Stellenbosch, where they taught from 1999 to 2001. Karin then transitioned to a role as a Lecturer in Applied Mathematics from 2002 to 2009 at the same institution.

In 2010, Karin joined S1 Corporation as a Trainer and Instructional Developer, where they delivered technical and general training to internal and client trainees. Karin also developed training materials for face-to-face and online classes.

From 2012 to 2014, Karin worked at ACI Worldwide as a Technical Course Developer, responsible for delivering technical and general company training. Karin also developed training materials suitable for face-to-face and online learning.

In 2015, Karin became a Project Manager at ACI Worldwide, a role they held until 2018. Their responsibilities included managing projects and ensuring their successful completion.

Since 2018, Karin has been working at Electrum. Karin started as a Project Manager, playing a crucial role in managing projects within the company. In 2020, they took on the additional role of Acting Chief Executive Officer while the CEO was on leave. This experience gave their the opportunity to lead the company and receive support from their colleagues. Currently, they serve as the Chief of Operations at Electrum.

Karin Hunter's education history is as follows:

From 2021 to 2021, Karin attended Stellenbosch Business School, where they completed an Executive Development program with a focus on business.

In 2018, they briefly studied at Agile42, where they obtained a certification in Applying Kanban (Foundation-KMP I). The program was centered around operations management and supervision.

Between 2014 and 2015, they pursued a degree in IT Project Management at Bellevue University, specializing in information technology project management.

In 2010, Karin attended two separate institutions. Firstly, they completed a Basic copy editing and proofreading course at McGillivray Linnegar Associates, honing their skills in professional, technical, business, and scientific writing. Secondly, they enrolled in 2KO International for a program in SQL Server 2005 Programming, focusing on data processing and data processing technology/technician.

From 1994 to 2005, they studied at Stellenbosch University, where they obtained a PhD in Mathematics.

In their earlier education, Karin attended Lowveld High School from 1989 to 1993, where they completed their Matric, though their field of study during this time is unspecified.
