Shaaheen Sacoor

Shaaheen Sacoor has a diverse work experience in the field of software development and engineering. Shaaheen started their career as a Software Engineering Intern at Derivco in June 2015. Later, they worked as a Programmer Intern at Digiata from January 2016 to February 2016, where they gained experience in building a Smart Contract using Cryptocurrency and creating a backend web application.

In 2016, Shaaheen joined Electrum Payments as a Software Developer Intern, where they worked on a project involving the addition of new database functionality to a complex system. Shaaheen also gained experience in building on cloud services like AWS.

After completing their internship, Shaaheen continued to work at Electrum, where they held multiple roles. Shaaheen started as a Software Developer in January 2018 and later became a Software Engineering Team Lead in March 2020.

In addition to their professional experience, Shaaheen also served as a Tutor for 1st/2nd year Computer Science at the University of Cape Town from February 2015 to November 2016.

Shaaheen Sacoor completed their National Senior Certificate from the Kwa-Zulu Natal Department of Education in November 2013. Shaaheen then attended Glenwood High School from 2009 to 2013. After high school, Shaaheen Sacoor enrolled at the University of Cape Town from 2014 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Science with a specialization in Computer Science.
