Austin Payne has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 2013, they worked as a Scribe Coordinator at the University of Virginia Department of Emergency Medicine, supervising a team of medical scribes. In 2014, they moved on to become a Scribe Coordinator at iScribes, where they were responsible for employee recruitment, training, and performance monitoring.

In 2017, Austin transitioned to the role of RN Supervisor at Armor Correctional Health Services, where they supervised nursing and support staff in a correctional facility nursing unit. They ensured compliance with regulations and guidelines while providing nursing services and patient care.

From 2015 to 2018, Austin worked as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (Charge RN) at Rockingham Memorial Hospital, where they handled high-stress situations in a 54-bed emergency department. They made critical judgments on patient conditions, coordinated care, and performed various medical procedures.

In 2016, Austin also worked as a Registered Nurse at Augusta Correctional Center, before moving to Bellaire at Stone Port Assisted Living and Memory Care in 2018. There, they served as the Director of Health and Wellness, responsible for overseeing the health care services for residents. They were also the Executive Director from 2019 to 2020.

In 2020, Austin joined Elegance Living as a National Clinical Specialist, providing registered nursing oversight and involvement. They offered clinical support, temporary assignments as a Director of Health and Wellness, and assisted with clinical system support.

In 2022, Austin became the Regional Director of Clinical Services at Retirement Unlimited Inc, where they oversaw clinical operations. Currently, they hold the position of Regional Director of Operations at Elegance Senior Living, starting in 2023.

Austin Payne, BSN, RN, ALFA, CDON, CALN completed their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree at the University of Virginia from 2010 to 2015. In addition to their degree, Austin has obtained several certifications. They obtained the Certified Assisted Living Nurse (CALN) certification from NADONA in July 2018, followed by the Certified Director of Nursing (CDON) certification from NADONA in November 2018. In June 2019, Austin obtained the Licensed Assisted Living Administrator certification from the Virginia Board of Long Term Care Administrators. Most recently, in July 2022, Austin obtained the Core Certified certification from the Agency for Health Care Administration.
