Nadiya Sitdykova has a diverse work experience in the field of bioinformatics and software engineering. Nadiya is currently working as a Senior Bioinformatics Software Engineer at ELEGEN since December 2022. Previously, they worked at Invitae as a Software Engineer from April 2021 to December 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Research Assistant at the Cognition and Cortical Dynamics Laboratory from September 2020 to September 2021.
Nadiya also worked at UW Medicine as a Bioinformatics Software Developer from July 2018 to January 2020. Their responsibilities included developing, debugging, and maintaining software for bioinformatics pipelines and data analysis. Nadiya collaborated with scientists and clinicians to design new applications and translated requirements into code. Additionally, they built tools for analysis and visualization to evaluate data and explore assay robustness.
Furthermore, Nadiya gained internship experience at Debian as an Outreachy Intern in June 2017 to August 2017.
Nadiya Sitdykova completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from ITMO University from 2009 to 2013. Nadiya then pursued a Certificate Program in Bioinformatics and Biology from the Bioinformatics Institute in 2012-2013. Following that, they obtained their Master of Science (MS) degree in Algorithmic Bioinformatics from St Petersburg University of the Russian Academy of Science from 2013 to 2015.
In addition to their formal education, Nadiya Sitdykova has also obtained several certifications. Nadiya completed courses such as "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization," "Neural Networks and Deep Learning," and "Structuring Machine Learning Projects" from Coursera in October 2017. Nadiya also holds an edX Honor Code Certificate for a Quantitative Biology Workshop, although the specific date of completion is not available.
