Navid Ghorashian

Navid Ghorashian has a multidisciplinary background spanning neurobiology, stem cell biology, cancer, optics, and microfluidic engineering. Navid began their career in 2001 as a student at UC Berkeley, majoring in Molecular & Cellular Biology, while taking classes in Computer Science and Bioengineering. In 2006, they became a Research Associate at CellASIC. In 2007, they became a Graduate Student at the University of Texas at Austin. In 2014, they became a Postdoctoral Fellow at ETH Zürich. In 2019, they became the Lead Microfluidic Engineer at BiomeSense. Most recently, they became a Staff Engineer at ELEGEN in 2022.

Navid Ghorashian received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Berkeley in 2005. Navid then went on to receive their MS in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 2010. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at the Cockrell School of Engineering, The University of Texas at Austin in 2013. Navid Ghorashian also attended St Fancis High School.
