Denise Lau

Denise Lau has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the healthcare and medical devices industry. Denise is currently working as the Vice President of Commercial Operations for the Region Intercontinental at Elekta since 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Order Fulfillment for the Region APAC at Elekta from 2013 to 2022.

Denise has also been involved in the Hong Kong Clinical Research Ethics Committee since 2020 as a Committee Member. Before joining Elekta, they worked as the Business Director for Asia Pacific at Fisnar in 2012. From 2008 to 2011, they held the position of Director Biodiscovery Asia at PerkinElmer, Inc.

Earlier in their career, Denise worked at Haemonetics as a Regional Product Manager for Asia Pacific from 2007 to 2008. Denise also had a long tenure at PerkinElmer, Inc., where they served as the Regional Territory Product Line Leader for Asia Pacific from 2002 to 2007, overseeing product management and technical support for a range of medical devices and reagents, including involvement in the Worldwide Human Genome project.

Denise Lau obtained a degree in Data Science and Machine Learning: Making Data-Driven Decisions from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2023. Denise also completed a CS50B Computer Science for Business Professionals program from Harvard Online in 2022-2023. In 2017-2018, they completed the Model Entrepreneur program at Elekta, focusing on Organizational Leadership. In 2016, they attended the McKinsey Women Leadership Program at McKinsey-Europe for Leadership development. Additionally, Denise has an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) foundation certification from EXIN, and a Postgraduate diploma in Translation (English & Chinese) from HKU SPACE. Their educational background also includes pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Medical Sciences (Oncology, Immunology, Hematology) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Hong Kong. Denise also holds an edX Verified Certificate for CS50's Computer Science for Business Professionals from edX.
