Perri Jenkins has worked in various roles since 2017. In 2017, they were a Staff Writer at the Houston Chronicle, where they wrote articles for the Houston Chronicle Insight website, provided media coverage at various events in the Houston area, and managed multiple projects simultaneously. In 2018, they were a Contributing Editor at Uproar Literary Magazine, where they served as a member of the selection committee, participated in strategic planning, performed editorial tasks, and determined the layout of the magazine. In 2019, they were a Library Assistant at the Barbara Bush Branch Library, where they provided accurate, courteous, and efficient service to internal and external customers, prepared event space for daily teen activities, and shelved and organized materials daily and kept inventory of books as needed. In 2020, they were a Media Analyst at StoryFit, where they evaluated 100+ films and characters through a web-based rating system, examined elements of psychology and its relationship and impact on storytelling, and provided data annotation and user experience feedback to improve usability. In 2021, they were a Digital Strategy Assistant at Texas Tech Public Media, a Content Creator at WunderTRE, and an Interactive Media Assistant at the College of Media & Communication, Texas Tech University. Lastly, they are currently a Content Producer at Elemeno Health.
Perri Jenkins attended Lone Star College-University Park from 2017 to 2019, graduating with an Associate of Arts - AA degree. In 2019, Jenkins began attending Texas Tech University, where they are currently pursuing a Creative Media Industries degree with a minor in Technical Communication. In 2021, Jenkins obtained a Social Media Marketing Certification Course from HubSpot Academy.
