Lisa Goldsmith

Lisa Goldsmith is a highly experienced professional in protein process development and downstream processing within the biotechnology industry. Currently serving as a Principal Engineer at Element Biosciences since June 2022, Goldsmith previously held positions as Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist at Synthorx Inc, where the focus was on protein sciences and early-stage CMC. Prior experience includes developing scalable purification processes at La Jolla Pharmaceutical Company and establishing characterization methods for active pharmaceutical proteins at Accelagen. Goldsmith's early research includes postdoctoral work at Fox Chase Cancer Center, where efforts centered on bi-specific antibody therapeutics, and graduate studies at UCLA, leading to a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. Goldsmith's educational background also includes a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from UC San Diego.
