🚀 David Olivas Montero

David Olivas Montero has a diverse work experience spanning several years. 🚀 David began their career as a Customer Service Representative for Sykes Enterprises and later worked in a similar role at Amazon. These positions helped him develop valuable soft skills such as patience, active listening, problem-solving, and empathy.

Afterward, David transitioned into the field of technology, starting at the Universidad de Costa Rica as an Assistant for Programming I and II Courses. In these roles, they reviewed assignments, quizzes, and laboratories, ensuring that code developed by students adhered to best practices.

David then gained practical experience as a Full Stack Software Developer at deLaGuayaba, where they worked on a fintech project and further honed their problem-solving, teamwork, and fast learning skills. 🚀 David also expanded their technical expertise by working with technologies like React, Ruby on Rails, Ionic 3, Angular 4, and PostgreSQL.

Moving on to First Factory, David held the position of DevOps Engineer, where they utilized various tools such as Azure Resource Manager, Azure DevOps, Powershell, Bash, Pulumi, and Terraform to automate the provisioning and deployment of resources and applications to Azure and AWS. 🚀 David also played a role in enhancing existing scripts and pipelines, ensuring their security and optimal functionality.

At Nuri, David continued to work as a DevOps Engineer, contributing to an experienced team focused on implementing high-quality cloud infrastructure and solutions. 🚀 David'sresponsibilities included maintaining and improving infrastructure in AWS using Terraform and Terragrunt, as well as ensuring the proper operation of CI/CD pipelines.

Most recently, David joined ELEMENT Insurance AG as a DevOps Engineer, where they are expected to contribute their skills and knowledge to the company's operations.

Throughout their career, David has consistently shown a commitment to professional growth and a willingness to learn and implement new tools and methodologies.

David Olivas Montero began their education at the Universidad de Costa Rica UCR in 2014, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. 🚀 David completed their studies in 2018. In 2018 and 2019, David attended the Universidad Técnica Nacional to earn a Conversational Portuguese degree.

In 2011 to 2012, David attended the Instituto Nacional de Aprendizaje where they specialized in English for Service Centers as an Executive.

In addition to their formal education, David has obtained several certifications. In 2020, they became a Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104). In 2021, they obtained the Microsoft Certified DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) certification. In 2022, they achieved the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Most recently, in April 2023, David obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification, also from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
