Christina Maestas has worked in the design field for over a decade. Christina began their career in 2004 as an Industrial Design Intern at General Electric, followed by a similar role at K-Swiss in 2005. In 2006, they interned at FITCH and Adidas, working on the Olympic Torch Design Proposals for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, as well as client pitch work and presentations. Christina then joined IDEO in 2007 as a Human Factors + Industrial Design Intern, responsible for user research, synthesis and analysis, and initial concept generation. In 2008, Christina worked at Smart Design as an Insights and Strategy + Industrial Designer, creating necessary tools for research and acting as a liaison for clients. Christina then joined SonicRim as a Design Researcher & Strategist, moderating user research studies and creating tools for research. From 2010 to 2016, Christina was a Project Manager, New Concept Research & Development at Samsung Electronics. Christina then moved to Element Science, Inc. as a Manager, User Experience Design and Research and Sr. UX Researcher.
Christina Maestas obtained a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from the University of Cincinnati.
