Leif Summerfield

Leif Summerfield is a Senior Electrical Engineer at Elemental Scientific, specializing in laser systems design for solid sampling in conjunction with inductively coupled mass spectrometry. With extensive experience in both high-level system architecture and low-level mixed-signal circuit design, Leif has also served as an advisor at KERBspace, offering technical systems design advice since 2013. Previously, Leif worked at ESI as an Electrical Engineer, focusing on laser ablation systems for analytical chemistry and material processing, and held a similar position at New Wave Research. Leif Summerfield earned a degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on embedded controls from Montana State University-Bozeman between 1998 and 2003.
