Sandra Lebrón

Sandra Lebrón is an experienced education professional with a focus on STEM and marine science education. Currently serving as the Director of Education at the Elementary Institute of Science since November 2018, Sandra manages the development and evaluation of educational programs aimed at increasing STEM opportunities for children in southeast San Diego. Prior roles include Education Manager at San Diego Coastkeeper, where Sandra oversaw the Project SWELL curriculum, and various education positions at Living Coast Discovery Center, Birch Aquarium at Scripps, Jobos Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, and Sea Grant. Sandra's educational background includes a Master in Science in Marine Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez and a Bachelor of Science in Coastal Marine Biology from Universidad de Puerto Rico-Humacao.
