Richard Herrin

Richard Herrin has over 25 years of experience in quality assurance and engineering roles. Richard is currently working as a Senior Audit and Release Manager at Elementum. Prior to this, they worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer at FamilySearch from May 2020 to August 2021. In this role, they were responsible for planning, automation, execution, and reporting on functional compliance with the designed product. Richard automated UI tests using Selenium and API tests using Java.

From January 2018 to February 2019, Richard served as the Director of Quality Engineering at Workfront. In this position, they were responsible for overall product quality and worked with various groups to improve product quality and customer experience. Richard also collaborated with engineering leadership on Agile processes and standardization across teams.

Before joining Workfront, Richard was the Director of Quality Assurance at Genesys from September 2015 to January 2018. Richard oversaw assignments, activities, and reporting for a global group of QA Engineers. Richard focused on implementing improvements in QA activities, particularly related to Agile development practices. Richard's extensive experience also includes working at Fidelity Investments from 1996 to 2015. During their tenure, they held multiple roles, including Director of Quality Assurance, Sr. QA Manager, and Sr. QA Engineer. Richard led the integration of a team of contract test engineers, migrated the group to Scrum methodologies, and managed testing efforts for a business process automation software package.

Early in their career, Richard worked at CUSA Technologies as a Quality Assurance Engineer and Software Support Engineer. Richard tested credit union and medical billing software applications, evaluated test automation software, and provided support to customers using proprietary credit union software.

Richard Herrin completed their education at Brigham Young University. From 1989 to 1993, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Management with a specialization in Management Information Systems. Later, from 2000 to 2002, they obtained an MBA from the same institution. In addition to their formal education, Richard Herrin also obtained a certification in "Getting Things Done" from LinkedIn in November 2018.
