Ashwini Deshpande

Ashwini Deshpande has extensive experience in the design industry, with their most significant role being the Director at Elephant Design Pvt Ltd, a strategic design consultancy in India. Ashwini co-founded the company in 1989 and has since led a team of over 80 professionals, working on projects that have had an impact in India and 80 emerging market countries. Ashwini is also a Core Committee Member at The Design Alliance Asia, a collaborative network of leading designers in Asia. Ashwini has played various jury roles in prestigious design awards and has served as a freelance columnist for Sakal Media Group, where they write about design in regional Indian languages to spread awareness about the profession.

Ashwini Deshpande earned a Master's degree in Visual Communication from the National Institute of Design from 1983 to 1989. Prior to that, Ashwini attended S B High School & Science College from 1978 to 1983 for SSC and HSC studies.
