Waylon Lewis

Founder, Editor-in-Chief at Elephant Journal

Waylon Lewis started their work experience in 1996 at Shambhala Publications, where they worked as an Assistant to the Publisher and in Rights & Permissions. Waylon gained valuable experience in the publishing industry and formed relationships with influential people. In 1999, Waylon joined Shambhala Mountain Center as PR, Marketing & Program Development personnel, with the guidance of the Executive Director, Jeff Waltcher. Waylon contributed to the growth and transformation of the retreat center. In 2002, Waylon founded elephant journal and assumed the role of Founder and Editor-in-Chief, a position which they continue to hold.

Waylon Lewis attended Boston University from 1992 to 1998, although the specific degree and field of study are not provided. In 2002, they attended Naropa University for a graduate program in Writing & Poetics.
