Claus Gärtner

Claus Gärtner currently serves as Team Lead Fabrication and Fabrication Engineer at eleQtron GmbH, focusing on the research and development of integrated ion trap chip architectures for quantum computing, utilizing microfabrication techniques since May 2023. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral position at Universität Basel, where Claus Gärtner specialized in the fabrication of high-quality factor membranes from February to October 2020. Earlier roles as a Doctoral Researcher at Technische Universiteit Delft and UC Santa Barbara involved the fabrication of membrane architectures for cavity optomechanics, along with research in optomechanics, quantum optics, and cryogenics during a doctoral tenure at Universität Wien. Claus Gärtner holds a Doctor's Degree in Physics from the University of Vienna and a Diplom in Physics from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
