Fermín Soto

Fermín Soto has held a variety of roles in the finance and investment industries. Fermín began their career in 2015 as an Investment Analyst Intern at Grupo Desarrollo Económico de Hermosillo, A.C., where they consolidated Tier two and three supplier’s development programs for the automotive industry in Sonora, coordinated and negotiated possible investments in Sonora’s automotive industry, and supported I cluster program between Sonora and Arizona, promotion of investment between both states. In 2016, they were an Investment Analyst at GC Capital Investment Fund. In 2018, they held two roles: Investment Manager at Business Room, where they were responsible for enterprise analysis, due diligence, determination of project viability, and finance analytics; and Mentor: Investment Strategies and Fundraising at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where they were in charge of Investment strategies and valuation modules. In 2018, they were also a Business Developer Intern at STEMconnector, where they designed a prospection system that helped to increase sales with former clients, and provided key data to close negotiations with global companies. In 2019, they were a Co-Founder at Gastrobox.mx. Currently, they are a Financial Sr Manager at Elery.co.

Fermín Soto's education history includes a Minor in Entrepreneurship from Tecnológico de Monterrey from 2012 to 2016. In 2018, they completed the Sonora 100 Program from The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars, focused on non-profit organizations and civil commitment. In 2020, they began a Major in Business Administration & Finance at Universidad Tecmilenio, which they are still completing. In addition to their formal education, Fermín Soto has also obtained certifications in Entrepreneurship from the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management in 2019, Finance and Business Administration from Business Room in 2018, Business Management from Business Room in 2017, TOEFL IBT 553 from ETS in 2015, and Figura 3 AMIB Asesor de Estrategias de Inversión from AMIB - Asociación Mexicana de Instituciones Bursátiles.
