Magnus Sillén

Magnus Sillén has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Magnus started their career in 2007 as a Consultant at Netville and later worked as a Consultant - Software Developer at Ericsson, where they focused on the development and maintenance of reference applications. In 2010, they joined Motimate as a Consultant - Software Developer, developing a web app for fitness advice and motivation.

In 2012, Magnus became a Developer at QlikTech, where they worked on developing the Qlik Sense client, utilizing test driven development and automated testing. Magnus then transitioned to 24HR Malmӧ as a Web Developer, before returning to QlikTech as a Senior Software Developer in 2014. At QlikTech, they contributed to the development of Verisure's mobile app, specializing in testing and helping other developers adapt to it.

In 2017, Magnus joined Prisjakt / PriceSpy as an Utvecklare, working on backend, frontend, and internal tools. Magnus also experimented with Alexa voice services and worked on a new site for Black Friday. Later that year, they moved to Verisure Securitas Direct as a Senior Software Developer, where they rebuilt the company's mobile app using React and GraphQL. Magnus also played a key role in driving automatic testing and knowledge sharing within the team through weekly sessions.

From 2018 to 2023, Magnus worked at Telavox, initially as a Software Developer, developing the Telavox web app with various features. Magnus also contributed to the development of a new dashboard app for call statistics. Later, they transitioned to the role of Counselor and eventually became the Engineering Lead.

Currently, Magnus is working at Eletive as a Developer, where they are involved in the development of Eletive's employee engagement platform, utilizing full-stack technologies.

Throughout their career, Magnus has demonstrated a strong focus on software development, automated testing, and knowledge sharing within their teams.

Magnus Sillén completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Umeå University from the year 2000 to 2005. In 2004 to 2005, they also studied at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where they obtained an A grade in Spoken Chinese.
