Karen Smith

Karen Smith serves as the Regional Vice President for Northeast Anthem National Accounts at Elevance Health since January 2023. Prior to this role, Karen held the position of Senior Vice President in Health Solutions at Aon from October 2020 to January 2023 and was Vice President of National Accounts at Cigna from March 2017 to October 2020. Karen's extensive experience also includes various roles at Aetna from July 1993 to February 2017, including Senior Client Solutions Lead and Director of Business Development. Karen's career began as an Underwriter and progressed through strategic client management roles. Academically, Karen holds an MBA in Finance/Insurance from the University of Hartford and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from Bryant University.
