Debra Finkler, MBA, CAE has a diverse range of work experience in communications and public relations. Debra served as the Vice President of Association Services at Elevanta, where they were responsible for leading business development and providing executive direction to trade associations. Prior to that, Debra worked as a Principal at DBF Strategic Communications, where they focused on marketing and PR for associations and professional services companies. Debra also has experience as a Senior Vice President of Public Relations, Public Affairs, and Digital at Kellen, a global association management company. In this role, they led a team of 25 and provided communications advice to well-known brands. Earlier in their career, Debra worked as the Managing Director of Public and Investor Relations at G. S. Schwartz & Company Inc., where they led teams serving a diverse international clientele in various industries. Overall, Debra Finkler brings a wealth of experience in association communications, marketing, and PR to their roles.
Debra Finkler holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. Debra later obtained an MBA in Marketing from Baruch College. In terms of certifications, they are a Certified Association Executive (CAE) from the American Society of Association Executives. Debra also holds certifications in Content Marketing and Customer Decision Journey from HubSpot Academy and LinkedIn, respectively. Additionally, they are a licensed Realtor in Georgia and has obtained various certifications in online marketing, sales fundamentals, and social marketing consultancy. Debra recently renewed their CAE certification from ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership in December 2021.
