Lucas Kappel

Lucas Kappel serves as a Senior Associate for the Midwest Justice 40 Accelerator at Elevate since February 2020, supporting community-based organizations and facilitating the development of Justice40 Accelerators in the Midwest. With expertise in project management and sustainability initiatives, Lucas has held various roles including Strategist II, where responsibilities included managing climate and energy plans, mentoring staff, and collaborating with external partners to enhance organizational climate justice goals. Previous experience encompasses roles such as Renewable Energy Project Manager at Bonneville Environmental Foundation and Program Specialist at CLEAResult, where Lucas focused on renewable energy project development and customer relations. An educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Renewable Energy and Technical and Public Policy from Illinois State University.
