Steve Dendebera

Steve Dendebera is currently the VP of Information Security at Elevate K-12. Prior to their current position, Steve held various information security positions at U.S. Cellular, Donnelley Financial Solutions, Citi, Dell Secureworks, and BlueCross BlueShield of IL - HCSC. Steve's experience in the field spans nearly 20 years, with their first position as a VoIP Integration Engineer at Allied Tele-Com in 2002. In their current role at Elevate K-12, Steve is responsible for leading the information security team and developing strategies to protect the company's data and systems.

Steve Dendebera holds a BS in Computer Science from Taganrog State Radio Technical University. Steve is certified by AttackIQ in Foundations of Operationalizing MITRE ATT&CK, by Microsoft in Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, by F5 Networks in F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator, and by F5 Networks in F5 Certified Technology Specialist, ASM. Steve is also certified by the SANS Institute in GIAC Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT).
