Matt Wenger has over 18 years of experience in various roles, including serving as the Chief Executive Officer for Elevate Power, a hydro-first developer, operator, and power marketer for renewable energy. Prior to that, they worked as a Partner at Clear Energy Renewables and as a Venture Partner at Stealth Sustainability Ventures. Matt also founded Growth Sherpas, a novel blend of VC, accelerator, and management consultancy for seed-stage companies. Besides, they led the global growth of ThinkTank as a Chief Evangelist and CEO, offering collective intelligence software for leaders. Before that, they were the President of OpenGlobal, a global management consultancy and investor, and the Managing Partner, USA, at Result, a company specializing in supporting the internationalization of high potential Telecom, Internet, Media and Entertainment (TIME) companies. Matt has also held senior-level positions in PacketFront Software and Seed IT, serving as the President of both companies. In addition to that, they founded BC Community Connectivity Cooperative, the first non-profit community-based broadband capacity-building organization in Canada, aimed at guiding and setting public policy issues.
Matt Wenger has attended Harvard University where they studied finance. Matt has also attended Carleton University where they focused on communications and journalism. Matt Wenger earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Victoria in writing, music composition, and theatre.
