Chris Chopey

Director, Partner Strategy at Elevate Sports Ventures

Chris Chopey has an extensive work experience in the sports industry. Chris currently holds the position of Director of Partner Strategy at Elevate Sports Ventures since 2022.

From 2021 to 2022, Chopey worked as the Vice President of Premium Sales at Chicago Fire FC, where they were responsible for expanding premium offerings and implementing a year-round membership platform to engage high-end clients.

Prior to that, from 2020 to 2021, they served as an Area Manager II at Amazon, where they managed a team of 275 managers and associates, focusing on logistics strategy and improving productivity and customer service.

Chopey's career also includes roles at the Atlanta Hawks as the Vice President of Premium Sales and Corporate Development from 2018 to 2020, where they exceeded sales goals and managed a high-level sales team.

Chris also worked at the Sacramento Kings from 2013 to 2018, earning several promotions throughout their tenure. During their time there, they oversaw suite-level arena operations and was responsible for sales and account management.

Before that, Chopey was the Manager of Premium Sales at the New York Yankees from 2010 to 2013, where they led a team that generated $40M in new business.

Chris began their career at the Dallas Cowboys as a Sales Consultant from 2007 to 2010, achieving top rankings and generating over $30M in sales revenue.

Furthermore, Chopey worked as an Account Executive and Inside Sales Representative at the Florida Panthers in 2006.

Chris Chopey pursued their education starting in the year 2000 at Rutgers University. Chris completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental & Business Economics in the year 2004. Following this, from 2004 to 2006, they attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where they obtained their Master of Science degree in Sport Studies, specializing in Sport Management.
