Luis R.

Luis R. is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in RNA bioprocessing, analytical chemistry, and synthetic biology. Currently serving as Associate Director at ElevateBio, Luis leads a team in circular RNA production and optimization, successfully advancing in vivo studies. Previously, at Ginkgo Bioworks, as Senior Engineer II, Luis established an RNA group and developed innovative analytical techniques for RNA synthesis and purification. Additional experience includes roles at CATALOG, GreenLight Biosciences, Beckman Coulter, UC Berkeley, University of Massachusetts Amherst, and the Tropical Medicine Institute in Peru, showcasing a strong background in molecular biology and biomolecular research. Luis holds a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a postdoctoral degree in Biophysics from UC Berkeley.
