Richard Biever

Richard Biever currently serves as Senior Director of Information Security Policy, Risk, and Compliance at ElevateBio since October 2023. Prior to this role, Biever held several key positions at Duke University from 2011 to October 2023, including Chief Information Security Officer and Assistant CIO, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing security programs and enhancing professional development within the Office of Information Technology. Previous roles at Duke also included Senior Director of various IT domains, where Biever implemented significant improvements in identity management and network engineering, established strategic partnerships to enhance security measures, and led teams in initiatives to modernize IT practices. Richard Biever holds a B.A. in Political Science from The University of Georgia and an M.A. in International Relations from Georgia State University.
