Maia S. McCuiston

Maia S. McCuiston, MD, FAAP, IBCLC, is a highly experienced pediatrician and healthcare leader, currently serving on the Advisory Board for ElevateMeD, a nonprofit organization focused on addressing racial and ethnic disparities in the medical workforce. As the Founder, Owner, and CEO of The McCuiston Group, Maia is dedicated to enhancing healthcare practices. Previous roles include Clinical Director at the Breastfeeding Center for Greater Washington, and Pediatrician at McKnight Pediatrics, in addition to serving as Physician Director of Multicultural Services at Mid Atlantic Permanente Medical Group and Kaiser Permanente. Maia's education includes a Medical Doctorate from Wayne State University School of Medicine and a Pediatric Residency from the University of Michigan. Through various initiatives, Maia has committed to culturally competent care and physician wellness.
