Omer Weissbrod

VP of computational biology & AI at Eleven Therapeutics

Omer Weissbrod has a diverse work experience in the field of computational biology and artificial intelligence. Omer currently holds the position of VP of computational biology & AI at Eleven Therapeutics, where they started in October 2020. Prior to this, they served as a Postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University from October 2017 to October 2020. Omer also worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Weizmann Institute of Science from January 2017 to August 2017. Omer gained industry experience as a Part-time Researcher at IBM from February 2013 to December 2016. Omer also interned as a Machine Learning Intern at Microsoft Research in January 2012. Omer's early career includes a role as a Student Software Developer at Intel Corporation from August 2007 to July 2009.

Omer Weissbrod completed a Ph.D. in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology from Technion and Tel Aviv University between 2012 and 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in the same field from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 2009 to 2011. Omer began their academic journey at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science, which they earned from 2005 to 2009.
