Yaniv Erlich has an extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Yaniv started their career at Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Principal Investigator/Whitehead Fellow from August 2010 to December 2014. Yaniv then joined Kailos Genetics as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board from June 2011 to August 2016. In 2014, they became a part of the Scientific Advisory Board at Arc Bio.
In 2015, Yaniv Erlich joined Columbia University in the City of New York, initially as an Assistant Professor from January 2015 to October 2017, and later as an Associate Professor from November 2017 to June 2019. During this time, they also served as a Core Member at New York Genome Center from January 2015 to December 2017.
In 2017, Yaniv Erlich became the Chief Scientific Officer of MyHeritage, a position they held until October 2020. Yaniv also joined LunaDNA as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board from January 2018 to March 2020.
In 2020, they took on the role of Chief Executive Officer at Eleven Therapeutics. Additionally, they became a member of 8400 - The Health Network since January 2020.

Yaniv Erlich pursued their education by achieving a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computational Neuroscience from Tel Aviv University, a three-year program that they attended from 2003 to 2006. Subsequently, they furthered their studies by enrolling at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Genomics from 2006 to 2010.
