Kaelan Grafton

Kaelan Grafton is a seasoned mechanical systems engineer currently holding the position of Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer at Elfly Group since August 2025. Prior to this role, Grafton worked as a Senior Aerospace Design Engineer and Mechanical Design Engineer at SkyBridge U.K. Ltd from November 2021 to July 2025. Experience also includes a tenure as an Aerospace Design Engineer at Sting Industries and a Systems Engineer at BAE Systems, where significant contributions were made in designing the PYRAMID Reference Architecture for combat air systems and participating in a graduate scheme. Earlier roles include a Control Systems Engineer position at Reaction Engines and an Assistant Technician role at Cobham. Grafton holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Engineering Competence and a Master's degree in Aerospace Vehicle Design from Cranfield University, along with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cape Town and a National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
