Elgiloy Specialty Metals is a division of Combined Metals with facilities in Elgin, Hampshire, and Sycamore. ESM processes over 45 high-performance nickel-cobalt, titanium, and stainless alloys to customers in the Aerospace, Automotive, Electronics, Medical, and Energy markets. To ensure that Elgiloy provides the best quality metals, we investigate new tools and technologies and hire employees dedicated to our values of quality and customer focus. • Our Sycamore location manufactures high-quality wire, bar, straightened, cut lengths, and shaped wire in a range of Nickel and Cobalt-based alloys and special stainless steel grades. Flexible custom manufacturing allows us to offer a few pounds to many thousands of pounds with short, reliable lead times. • Our Hampshire location offers a mill that cold roll strips to as thin as .001” at a starting width of 40”. Supporting the Mill are two bright anneal furnaces capable of annealing thickness from .001"​ (0.025mm) to .060"​ (1.52mm) and as wide as 50"​ (1270mm). In addition, the Mill's new slitting line can process coils as large as 900 PIW (16kg/mm) for long production runs. • Elgin operates a world-class four-post 20-roll cluster Mill capable of producing the world’s thinnest and widest stainless steel precision strip. The Mill is supported with two bright annealing furnaces capable of producing annealing thicknesses as low as .002″ (.005cm) and multiple slitting units that can process a variety of coil widths and weights. A next-generation Tension Leveler can also ensure flatness measurements as low as one I unit on annealed or full-hard materials. The Tension Leveler can process coils as large as 900 PIW (16kg/mm) for long production runs. • Our Bellwood location is part of the company Combined Metals of Chicago, This facility offers custom buffing with coil to coil Width 22”- 49”/Gauge .017”-.100 and custom wet and dry polishing.
