Timothy Averill

Timothy Averill has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Timothy started their career as a Surveyor at Knight Frank in 2001 and later worked as an Investment Surveyor at King Sturge from 2002 to 2006, where they focused on sourcing and securing investment and development projects in Croatia, the Balkans, and Poland.

From 2006 to 2009, Averill worked at Scarborough Development Group Plc as an Associate Director in European Acquisitions and later as an Assistant Fund Manager. During this time, they were responsible for acquisitions and development throughout Europe and managed property funds with assets ranging from £2 million to over £10 million.

Averill then joined Seva Group in 2009 as a Director, where they focused on the acquisitions, redevelopment, and refurbishment of residential properties in West London. Timothy also provided energy efficiency consultancy services for commercial buildings.

In 2010, Averill pursued an MBA at IE Business School, where they were part of a team setting up a commercial solar PV business in Romania and conducted a real estate entrepreneurship project.

Following their studies, Averill joined Raw Energy Inc in 2010 as a Development Director, specializing in renewable energy development focusing on biomass and solar PV projects in Romania and emerging markets. Timothy also led the development of commercial solar PV projects, including sourcing sites, securing permits, and negotiating power purchase agreements.

In 2013, Averill joined SunEdison as the Director of Business Development in Europe, where they played a pivotal role in setting up the SunEdison UK office and successfully connected over 500 MW of solar and wind projects in under three years. Timothy also facilitated the acquisition of ready-to-build solar PV ground-mount projects.

Averill then worked at Bluefield Partners LLP in 2017 as the Director of Investments, with a focus on investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector.

Most recently, Averill joined Elgin Energy in 2018 as the Managing Director for Australia and APAC, overseeing operations and strategic direction in the region.

Lastly, they furthered their education at IE Business School, where they completed their Master's in Business Administration (MBA).
