Al A. Rodriguez

Al A. Rodriguez serves as the Executive Director of Communications & Community Engagement at Elgin Independent School District since July 1999, promoting positive relations between the school and the community while acting as the public information officer. Rodriguez has held multiple leadership roles within Elgin ISD, including Assistant Superintendent of Human Capital & Public Information, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources & Public Information, and Human Resources Director, focusing on teacher recruitment, compliance with educational regulations, and employee evaluations. Earlier experience includes serving as Principal at Elgin Middle School, where accountability scores improved significantly, and as Director of Hearne Alternative Learning Center, where efforts resulted in the successful reopening of the facility. Educational qualifications include an Ed.D. (ABD) in Educational Administration from The University of Texas at Austin and an M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Texas State University.
