Brandon McFarlin, PhD, is a motivated Ph.D. candidate with extensive experience in cardiometabolic health and molecular biology. Currently a Medical Science Liaison at Ardelyx, Inc., they support the launch of novel nephrology therapies and engage in scientific exchange with key stakeholders. Previously, as a postdoctoral research scientist at Eli Lilly and Company, Brandon led investigations into biomarkers for chronic kidney disease and diabetes. They have also served as the Director of Communications for the USC Graduate Student Government, advocating for over 30,000 student stakeholders. Brandon’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Bradley University and a PhD in Medical Biology from the University of Southern California.
