David Hackos

David Hackos serves as the Executive Director of Discovery Biology at Eli Lilly and Company, leading the biology team at the SiteOne site since October 2025. Prior to this role, David held the position of Vice President of Discovery at SiteOne Therapeutics, Inc., where the focus was on developing therapeutics for hypersensitivity disorders. David's extensive experience includes a distinguished tenure as a Scientist at Genentech, leading pain research projects and overseeing various roles from Principal Scientist to Distinguished Scientist. Additionally, David has a solid foundation in ion channel research, having led initiatives at Roche and Renovis, and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health studying ion channel mechanisms. David holds a PhD in Biophysics from the University of California, San Francisco, and a BA in Physics from The Johns Hopkins University.
