Richard Lee

Richard Lee is an accomplished professional in the field of pharmacology and translational medicine, currently serving as Executive Director at Eli Lilly and Company since October 2025. Prior to this role, Richard held the position of Executive Director at Verve Therapeutics, where efforts were focused on developing cardiovascular therapeutics using a gene editing platform. With extensive experience at Ionis Pharmaceuticals from 2007 to 2021, Richard progressed through various leadership roles, including Executive Director and member of the Cardiovascular Drug Discovery Team. Earlier in the career, Richard served as a Senior Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow at UCLA. Richard earned a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Pathobiology from Wake Forest University School of Medicine and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Western Oregon University.
