Bert Vandenberghe

Bert Vandenberghe is currently a Business Analyst at Elia, a position held since January 2022. Prior to this, Bert served as a PhD researcher at the e-media research lab, KU Leuven from January 2018 to December 2021, and as a UX Researcher at the Meaningful Interactions Lab (Mintlab), KU Leuven - imec from September 2013 to December 2017. Earlier professional experience includes roles as an Information Architect at AVIOVISION from December 2011 to August 2013 and Head of Energy, Strategy for the Umicore Solar Team from July 2010 to June 2012. Bert obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Engineering Technology from KU Leuven in May 2022 and holds a Master's degree in Electronics and ICT Engineering Technology, Internet Computing from Group T - International University College Leuven, completed in 2010. Additional educational pursuits include studies at the University of the Arts London (2016 - Present), the Postuniversitair Centrum KU Leuven – KULAK (2014 - 2015), and the Plantin Institute for Typography (2013 - 2015), alongside foundational education at Spes Nostra Kuurne (1999 - 2005).
