Mathieu de Greef

Mathieu De Greef is an experienced professional with a strong background in procurement and strategic buying, currently serving as the Head of Team Line & Cable Works at Elia since June 2020. In this role, Mathieu leads a team of strategic buyers and contract managers responsible for overseeing the procurement process for overhead lines and underground cables. Prior to this, Mathieu held positions as Senior Strategic Technical Buyer and Strategic Technical Buyer for high voltage equipment at Elia Group. Mathieu also contributed to the Mechelse Waterski Klub as a board member and initiated the WaterskiBLOSOS project. Earlier experience includes a position as a Test Engineer at Ford-Werke GmbH. Mathieu holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Sciences from KU Leuven, earned in January 2017.
