Hercules Haralambides

Hercules Haralambides is an accomplished academic and policy advisor in the field of maritime economics and logistics, currently serving as Editor in Chief for the Journal of Maritime Economics and Logistics since January 1999. As a Full Professor at Erasmus University Rotterdam, Hercules has significantly contributed to the discipline as the founder of the Center for Maritime Economics and Logistics and the MSc program in Maritime Economics and Logistics. In addition to roles such as Senior Policy Advisor at ELIAMEP and Distinguished Chair Professor at Dalian Maritime University, Hercules has also established Haralambides & Associates as a think tank providing policy advice and executive education in the maritime sector. With extensive involvement in multiple institutions, including the World Bank and Texas A&M University, Hercules brings over three decades of expertise in maritime logistics and international transport. Academic credentials include a PhD in Economics from Cardiff University.
