Jungwon Byun

Jungwon Byun has worked in various roles and companies throughout their career. They co-founded and served as the COO at Elicit, a company they started in 2023. Prior to that, they also co-founded and held the position of COO at Ought since 2019. From 2015 to 2019, Jungwon worked at Upstart as the Head of Growth. They also had experience as a Consultant at Oliver Wyman in 2015 and as a Consultant in Digital Financial Services at Financial Sector Deepening Zambia in 2014. Earlier in their career, Jungwon was the CEO and Co-Executive Director at Elmseed Enterprise Fund from 2012 to 2013.

Jungwon Byun has a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Cum laude, from Yale University. They also studied Chinese Language at the Beijing Institute of Education. Additionally, they have knowledge in the fields of Argentine Economic History from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella and History of Central Asia, Contemporary History of Pacific Asia, and International Economics from Universidad del Salvador.
