Xavier Duportet has extensive experience in the field of emerging technologies. Xavier began their career in 2014 as the Co-founder & CEO of Eligo Bioscience. In 2016, they became a Senior Advisor to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, advising the Ministries on emerging technologies and their impact on different industries. Xavier also worked to federate the French SMEs leveraging emerging technologies to build disruptive products and services. In 2017, they became a Member of the Scientific Advisory Board of Universcience. In 2018, they Co-founded and became the President of Deeptech Founders and the Co-founder and Board Member of Green Spot Technologies. In 2020, they became a Member of the Strategic Advisory Board of Universit\u00e9 Paris-Saclay. Additionally, they have held the positions of Honorary President and Founder & President of Hello Tomorrow since 2014.
Xavier Duportet began their educational journey in 1995, when they obtained their Scientific Baccalaureate from Institution des Chartreux. Xavier then went on to earn their Master of Engineering from AgroParisTech in 2006-2009. In 2008, they completed a Masters Internship at The Ohio State University in the field of Genomics and Immunology. The following year, they completed a Masters Internship at The University of Auckland in Metabolomics. In 2009-2010, they obtained their Master of Science from the Pasteur Institute in Synthetic Biology and Molecular Biology, and a Master of Science from the Learning Planet Institute in Synthetic Biology, Systems Biology and Computer Sciences. Lastly, in 2010-2014, they obtained their PhD in a joint program with INRIA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Synthetic Biology and Genome Engineering.
