Director Of Community Life at Elim Village

Marian Heemskerk has extensive work experience in the senior care industry. Marian started their career at Elim Christian Care Society in 2004, where they worked as a Manager of Community Care until 2013. Marian then became the Director of Community Care until 2017. In 2018, Marian joined Elim Village as the Director of Community Life. Marian'srole at Elim Village involves overseeing the operations of Assisted Living and community health and wellness initiatives within Independent Living.

Marian Heemskerk's education history begins in 1979 when they attended Cornwall General Hospital Training Center and earned a Registered Nurses Assistant Diploma. Marian then pursued a career as a Licensed Practical Nurse after completing their studies at CLPNBC in 1981.

Later, Marian attended the British Columbia Institute of Technology from 2004 to 2009, where they focused on Human Resource Management and earned an Associate Leadership Certificate.

In 2009, they enrolled in Royal Roads University and completed a Graduate Certificate in Health Systems Leadership the following year. Marian returned to Royal Roads University from 2011 to 2013, obtaining a Master of Arts in Leadership with a specialization in Health.

Most recently, Marian Heemskerk attended the Canadian College of Health Leaders until 2014, where they acquired a CHE Designation in Health/Health Care Administration/Management.
