Dante Battocchi is a seasoned professional in the field of materials and coatings, currently serving as Co-Founder and CTO of Elinor Specialty Coatings since November 2006, where the focus is on developing protective coatings for specialty metals. In addition, Battocchi holds the position of Assistant Professor at NDSU Coatings and Polymeric Materials and serves as a reviewer for the NSF since January 2016. Prior experience includes serving as Associate Director at the NDSU Center For Surface Protection and as a Research Associate at NDSU, where significant contributions were made in corrosion research and the development of Chromium Free protective primers for aluminum. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Materials and Nanotechnology from NDSU, an MSc in Coating Science from NDSU, and a degree in Materials Engineering from the University of Trento, Italy. Early career experience includes serving as an agent in the Italian Police from 1991 to 1993.
