Jordan Burton has held a variety of roles in the software engineering field since 2014. In 2021, they began working as a Software Engineer at EliseAI. From 2018-2021, they worked as a Software Engineer at Applied Predictive Technologies, where they empowered user experience and success by building out numerous product features as a member of the Core UI team. In 2017, they interned as a Software Engineer, Tools, and Infrastructure Intern at Google, where they utilized the REST API in conjunction with JUnit and other internal tools to develop a testing infrastructure for the new Firebase Performance product. In 2016, they interned as an Engineering Practicum Intern at Google, where they utilized technologies such as Protocol Buffers, Guice, and RPCs to incorporate a system that detects and tracks suspicious activity in the Play Store. Prior to their software engineering roles, they were a Student Athlete and Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Duke University from 2014-2018. As a student athlete, they were a 2x USTFCCCA all-academic honor recipient and 12x ACC honor roll recipient. As a teaching assistant, they held office hours to help provide instruction and clarity on homework assignments and class material. Jordan also served as a Gender Violence Prevention Intern at Duke University, where their primary duty was to lead PACT training sessions.
