Shawn Actis

Shawn Actis has a diverse work experience in the aviation industry. Shawn started their career at Amherst Technologies in 1996, working in sales until 1998. Shawn then joined Mesa Airlines in 2003 as a Captain, where they worked until 2007. In 2006, Shawn joined Michael Waltrip Racing as the Lead Pilot/Captain until 2010. Shawn then moved to Elite Airways in 2011, where they served as the Chief Pilot, responsible for compliance and overseeing flight crewmember activities. In 2019, they also took on the role of Assistant Director of Operations at Elite Airways. Most recently, in 2022, Shawn joined FlightSafety International as an Instructor.

Shawn Actis obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business/Marketing from Franklin Pierce University, which they attended from 1994 to 1998. Prior to that, they attended Nashua High School from 1985 to 1988, where they studied Business/Marketing. In addition, Shawn has obtained a certification in FAA ATP Multi-engine, though the specific details regarding the institution and the year of certification are not provided.
