Sam Derr is the owner and president of Elite Food Safety, a food safety training company. Sam has over 20 years of experience in the food industry, including working as a self-employed food safety consultant. Sam has also worked for several large food companies, including Elite Superior Foods, Inc. and Superior Foods. In their current position, they provide food safety training to companies and individuals across the United States.

Sam Derr has certification from the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) in both ServSafe instructor and proctor (dual role), as well as ServSafe Food Allergen Specialist. Additionally, Sam Derr is certified by the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) as a Food Safety Auditor and HACCP Manager.
