Chief Innovation Officer at Elite HRV

Kamiar Kordari, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the fields of AI, R&D, and software engineering. In 2020, they began working as the Chief Innovation Officer and Head of AI and R&D at Spren (formerly Elite HRV). In this role, they are responsible for unlocking commercial use cases based on Heart Rate Variability (HRV) data to help improve people's health, wellbeing, performance, and quality of life. From 2017 to 2020, they worked at AngelList as a Syndicate Lead and Angel Investor. In 2017, they founded and became the CEO of Corpodex. From 2015 to 2017, they were the CTO and Co-Founder of Uprimus, Inc. From 2008 to 2015, they were the Lead R&D Engineer and Principal Investigator at TRX Systems, Inc. where they developed products that delivered location indoors and in areas where GPS is not reliable or available. From 2011 to 2015, they were a Technology Transfer Committee Board Member at the University of Maryland Dingman Center of Entrepreneurship. From 2007 to 2008, they were a Member of Technical Staff at Techno-Sciences, Inc. From 2003 to 2007, they were a Software/Research Engineer at Techno-Sciences, Inc. where they used Machine Learning to develop predictive and preventive maintenance solutions. From 2001 to 2003, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland, College Park. From 2002 to 2003, they were a Control Systems Engineer at DuPont where they developed software for designing controllers and software to pull real-time data from one of DuPont's manufacturing lines.

Kamiar Kordari, Ph.D. has an extensive educational background. Kamiar began their formal education in 1988 when they attended the National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents (Sampad) and obtained a High School degree in Mathematics and Physics in 1995. Kamiar then attended Sharif University of Technology and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1999. Kamiar then attended Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic and obtained a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering in 2001. Kamiar furthered their education by attending the University of Maryland and obtained a Ph.D./ M.Sc. in Electrical & Computer Engineering in 2007. In addition to their formal education, Kamiar has obtained certifications in Self-Driving Car Engineer Nanodegree Program from Udacity in 2020, Machine Learning from Stanford University in 2019, and From Ideas To Action (IDEO's Certificate in Design Thinking) from IDEO in 2017.
