Paolo Barbieri

Paolo Barbieri is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in finance and investment management. Currently serving as the Group Chief Executive Officer at Elite World Group since February 2022 and as the Chief Risk Officer at SHS Asset Management, Paolo has previously held significant positions including Deputy Chairman at Elite Model Management and Chief Executive Officer of Pacific Capital, overseeing asset management exceeding USD 700 million. Paolo's career also includes roles as Chief Financial Officer at mondoBIOTECH Holding AG, Deputy CEO and Chief Investment Officer at Pioneer Alternative Investments, and founder of Akros HFR Alternative Investments, which played a pivotal role in instigating the hedge fund industry in Italy. Paolo's early career involved key roles in equity capital markets at Banca Akros and Interbanca.
