Magda Chegkazi

Magda S. Chegkazi, Dr. rer. nat., is an experienced professional in project and programme management with a focus on human genomics, translational data, and advanced therapies. Currently serving as Programme Manager for Human Genomics and Translational Data at ELIXIR and as a member of the Elsevier Advisory Panel, Magda has previously held roles including Project Manager at the Gene Therapy Vector Facility and Knowledge Exchange Practitioner at King's College London, where responsibilities included project planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication. Magda's academic background includes a PhD in Natural Sciences from Heidelberg University, an MSc in Biochemistry from the National Hellenic Research Foundation - National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, and a BSc in Chemistry from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, complemented by a diploma in Oenology. Expertise spans molecular biology, structural biology, and the development of translational therapies.
