Desmond Yengi

Desmond Yengi, Ph.D., currently serves as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Elizabethtown College since August 2023. Prior to this role, Desmond Yengi held the position of Visiting Assistant Professor at Alvernia University from January 2022 to August 2023 and worked as an Assistant Professor at Ohio Valley University from January 2020 to December 2021. Desmond Yengi's academic journey includes a postdoctoral research fellowship at Harvard University within the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences' Origins of Life Initiative from January 2018 to January 2020. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry with a focus on Nonlinear Chemical Systems from West Virginia University (2009-2015), a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Mathematics from Westminster College (2005-2009), an International Baccalaureate Diploma from the United World College of Atlantic in Wales (2003-2005), and a Uganda Certificate of Education from Alere Secondary School (1998-2002).
